Who do you think is the best college football team in the country? Even better question: How do you determine if one team is more worthy than another? For example, Oklahoma defeated Ohio State in week 2, however they lost a few weeks ago to Iowa State while Ohio State has remained perfect ever since. Would one say that Oklahoma is superior to Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes squad? Who’s the best 1 loss team in the country? Notre Dame’s lone loss was to Georgia while they’ve gone on to handle Michigan State, USC & NC State on their way to a 7-1 record. Clemson, Penn State, Oklahoma State, TCU & Washington are joined together as top 15 schools that have a loss while Wisconsin and Miami and quietly undefeated going into November.

Nevertheless, let’s take a look at Exxedera’s week 9 college football playoff predictions.

gerogia1. Georgia (8-0): Besides Alabama, nobody in the country has looked as dominant as the Georgia Bulldogs. Behind a superb defense and a dynamic backfield duo in Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, Freshman QB Jake Fromm hasn’t had to do too much from the pocket, but when called upon he has played huge. With wins against Notre Dame and Mississippi State already on their resume, the Dawgs just have to remain unscathed throughout November so they can have a shot against Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

2. Alabama (8-0): What’s new for Alabama? Absolutely nothing. The Crimson Tide have done the same thing they’ve done each year with Nick Saban at the Helm: Win. This year’s Crimson Tide have done it the same way that the past teams did it as well: Consistent Quarterback play to couple with a gruesome rushing attack to go along with a ferocious defense.

3. Notre Dame (7-1): Besides Georgia and Alabama, no team in the country has looked more impressive than Notre Dame. With only one loss coming to none other than the Georgia Bulldogs, the Fighting Irish have looked mighty dominant behind a two headed duo in QB Brandon Wimbush and RB Josh Adams. Adams has rushed for a team high 1169 yards while the man under center is just as dazzling with 11 touchdowns of his own. After an impressive win against NC State in which Josh Adams ran for 202 yards the Irish are in control of their own destiny: Win and they’re in.

4. Clemson (7-1): It seems as if nobody believes Clemson are as dominant the previous two seasons due to the absence of Deshaun Watson. QB Kelly Bryant is just as dangerous as Watson was as a thrower and he’s arguably more dangerous than Watson as a runner. The Tigers aren’t as deep at wide receiver but they’re way more deep at running back as they have four backs who have scored at least three touchdowns while maintaining at least five yards per carry. With a defense that accumulated 11 sacks against Auburn in addition to slowing down Louisville and Georgia Tech’s offenses, Clemson just has to hold off NC State in order to be in prime position to play for the ACC Championship game and maybe even the College Football playoffs.
