Vontae Davis Retired From The NFL… At Halftime

Former Buffalo Bills cornerback Vontae Davis retired Sunday but it was the timing of his retirement that had many scratching their heads. Davis retired during halftime of the Bills loss to the Los Angeles Chargers this past Sunday.

That’s right. The two time pro-bowler retired in the locker room during halftime.

Davis later issued a statement, saying “today on the field, reality hit me fast and hard: I shouldn’t be out there anymore.”

The former pro-bowler began his career in 2009 with the Miami Dolphins before moving to the Indianapolis Colts where he spent six seasons before signing with Buffalo this past offseason.
