Longtime New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has officially retired from the NFL via an instagram post.
The Patriots great ended his career with five super bowl appearances including three SB wins in only nine seasons. Gronkowski’s 79 career TD’s rank 28th all-time in league history and it’s third all-time among tight ends. Since he entered the league in 2010 nobody had more receiving TD’s than the big bodied tight end who managed this feat while only playing in 16 games twice in his career.
The football world is going to miss Gronk. Not only for his formidable play on the football field but also for his fiery personality off of it.
